In his final years, Huan Wen, Grand Marshal of the Jin, revered the Dharma. There was a nun whose name is lost, who came from afar to visit him; her talent and conduct were extraordinary, and Huan Wen respected her tirelessly. Whenever she bathed, she would change her appearance. Huan Wen found this strange and peeked secretly, seeing the nun naked, brandishing a knife to cut open her belly, remove her viscera, decapitate herself, and slice her limbs into minced pieces. Huan Wen was terrified and horrified. Shortly after, the nun emerged from the room, her body completely normal. Huan Wen asked her about this honestly, and the nun replied, 'If you proceed to usurp the supreme throne, your body will end up like this.' At that time, Huan Wen was plotting to usurp the throne; hearing this, he was disheartened and ceased his plans. She then took her leave, and it is unknown where she went, and so forth.
