廬山七嶺。同會於東共成一峯。晉太元中。豫章太守范𡩋。遣人伐木此山。見一沙門陵虛直上踞峯。久之與雲俱隱。能文之士咸為之興詞。沙門曇諦賦此山曰。應真陵雲以據峯。峯眇翳景而入冥是也。

The seven ridges of Mount Lu join together in the east to form a single peak. During the Taiyuan era of the Jin, Fan Ning, the Administrator of Yuzhang, sent men to cut timber on this mountain. They saw a śramaṇa soar straight up into the void and sit upon the summit; after a long time, he vanished into the clouds. Men of letters all composed verses about it. Śramaṇa Tandi composed a rhapsody on this mountain, which said: 'The arhat soars through the clouds to occupy the peak; / The peak recedes into shadow and merges with the void'—this refers to him.
