3.97

齊周隋唐代有神異。事止百年見聞不少。備之僧傳。故闕而不載。略述感通之會。知僧中之有人焉。

Through the Qi, Zhou, Sui, and Tang dynasties, every generation has had spiritual anomalies. These events cover only a hundred years, yet what has been seen and heard is considerable. Since they are fully recorded in the biographies of monks, they are omitted and not recorded here. I have merely recounted the occasions of sympathetic resonance so that it may be known that there are extraordinary persons among the Sangha.
