3.32

今列佛經論。明沙門不敬俗者　梵網經下卷云。出家人法不禮拜國王父母六親。亦不敬事鬼神。

Now we cite Buddhist sūtras and treatises to clarify that the śramaṇa does not pay reverence to the secular. The second fascicle of the Brahmājāla Sūtra states: "The rule for renunciants is that they do not bow down to the king of the state, their father and mother, or their six relations; nor do they revere and serve ghosts and spirits."
