奕云庖犧已下二十九代。父子君臣。立忠立孝。守道履德。生長神州。得華夏正氣。人皆淳樸。以世無佛故也。奕云。秦起秦仲三十五世。六百三十八年　奕云。帝王無佛則大治年長。有佛則虐政祚短。自庖犧已下二十九代。而無佛法。君明臣忠。國祚長久。

[Fu] Yi says: 'From Paoxi downward for twenty-nine generations, fathers and sons, rulers and ministers established loyalty and filial piety, upheld the Dao and practiced virtue. Born and raised in the Divine Continent, receiving the correct qi of Huaxia, the people were all pure and simple, because there was no Buddha in the world.' Yi says: 'Qin began with Qin Zhong, lasting thirty-five generations and six hundred and thirty-eight years.' Yi says: 'When emperors and kings had no Buddha, their great governance lasted many years; when they had the Buddha, their tyrannical administration suffered short reigns. For twenty-nine generations from Paoxi downward, there was no Buddhist Dharma, yet the rulers were enlightened and the ministers loyal, and the state reigns lasted long.'
