魏太宗明元皇帝（諱嗣）明叡寬雅非禮不言。愍念四生。敬重三寶。仍於鄴下大度僧尼。
Emperor Mingyuan, the Grand Predecessor of the Wei (taboo name Si): Wise, discerning, lenient, and refined, he spoke of nothing contrary to ritual. Compassionately mindful of the four kinds of born beings, he held the Three Jewels in high esteem. Thereupon, he extensively ordained monks and nuns in Ye.
