開士曰。老子云。貴大患莫若有身。使吾無身吾有何患。患之所由莫若身矣。老子既患有身。欲求無惱未免頭白與世不殊。若言長生何因早死。
The bodhisattva says: Laozi said: 'The reason I have great afflictions is that I have a body; if I had no body, what afflictions would I have?' Since Laozi was afflicted by having a body and sought to be free of sorrow, yet could not avoid white hair and was no different from ordinary folk, if one speaks of long life, why did he die early?
