方等經兩卷亦名妙法。彌多子經是魏世道士張達所造。偷佛家大方等經名也。妙法彌多子取妙法蓮華經彌多羅尼子名也。

The Fangdeng jing (Vaipulya Scripture) in two fascicles, also called Miaofa miduizi jing (Scripture of the Wondrous Law of Miduizi), was forged by the Wei dynasty Daoist master Zhang Da. It stole the Buddhist name of 'Great Vaipulya Scripture'; 'Miaofa miduizi' was taken from the Miaofa lianhua jing (Lotus Sūtra) and the name of Maitrāyaṇīputra.
