故六道眾生皆是父母（六道者。天人阿脩羅地獄餓鬼傍生。凡六道中男女等。恐有先世之父母。皆作父母之想也）。

'Therefore, the sentient beings of the six destinies are all one's parents' (the 'six destinies' are gods, humans, asuras, hells, hungry ghosts, and animals; all men and women within the six destinies may well be parents from previous lifetimes, so one forms the thought of parents toward them all).
