孔子所語。疾時君之廢禮。孟子譏陳相之專農。意有所主理非決然（謂孔子傷昔時人君之亂而壞禮。孟子所言。許行陳相之見反變為蠻夷）。

What Confucius spoke was grief over the contemporary rulers discarding ritual; what Mencius criticized was Chen Xiang's exclusive focus on agriculture. Their intentions had specific targets; the principles were not categorical assertions (This means Confucius grieved over the disorder of the rulers of former times and their destruction of ritual; what Mencius said was that the views of Xu Xing and Chen Xiang on the contrary made them into southern barbarians).
