豈為陋西域之術而弗用也耶（若孔子疾時君之廢禮孟子譏陳相之專農。而諸侯不聽其說。豈是鄙陋西域之教而不用耶）。

(If Confucius grieved over the contemporary rulers discarding ritual, and Mencius criticized Chen Xiang's exclusive focus on agriculture, yet the feudal lords did not listen to their teachings, was it because they despised the teachings of the Western Regions as base and vulgar that they did not employ them?).
