妙明曰。子之所言略近而忘遠。取小以遺大也（責客曰。子所言之如略少近而忘其深遠而取小節忘其廣大也）。

Miaoming said: "What you say grasps what is near while forgetting what is far, and takes the small while abandoning the great. (Rebuking the guest, he says: 'What you say is like grasping a little of what is near while forgetting what is deep and far, taking minor matters while forgetting what is broad and great.')
