使人傾囊倒廩竭資而施。以為祈福（因以善則上天堂。惡則墮地獄。曉喻因果。使人人盡其囊財罄其倉廩以為求福勸人為善也）。

They make people empty their purses, turn out their granaries, and exhaust their wealth to give, in order to pray for blessings (because they say the good ascend to heaven and the evil fall into hell, instructing them in cause and effect, they make everyone exhaust their purse's wealth and empty their granaries to seek blessings, exhorting people to do good).
