孔子不對。公曰。寡人有問。吾子不對。其意何耶（寡少也。此國君謙辭。言少德也）。

Confucius did not reply. The Duke said, 'I have asked a question, and you, sir, do not reply. What is the meaning of this?' ("寡" means few. This is a ruler's humble self-designation, meaning one of little virtue.)
