3.25

孔子曰。以公之問不及於大。方思其所對而對之（子曰。因見公問其語不大。方纔思其所對之辭）。

Confucius said, 'Because your question did not reach what is great, I was just pondering how to frame my response before answering it.' (Confucius said: because I saw that the ruler's inquiry did not concern what is great, only then did I ponder words with which to reply.)
