以此觀之。自古賢德猶有高居井里嘯傲雲山（孟子。九百畝為井田五隣為里。歷觀古之賢人德士慕其道也。或高隱於井里。或嘯傲避世而隱雲山之間）。

Viewed from this perspective, even among the worthy and virtuous since antiquity, there were those who dwelt exalted in local hamlets or whistled freely amidst cloudy mountains, (In Mencius: nine hundred mu form a well-field system, and five neighborhoods make a hamlet. Throughout history, ancient worthy persons and virtuous scholars who yearned for their Way either hid away in hamlets or whistled freely, escaping the world to dwell in the midst of cloudy mountains.)
