達摩東遷。特明此事（梵語菩提達摩。此云覺法。西天自迦葉為初祖。相傳至達摩。乃二十八祖。東遷震旦。明原始返終之道）。

'Bodhidharma moved eastward, especially to make this matter clear. (The Sanskrit Bodhidharma is translated here as 'Awakened Dharma'. In India, Kāśyapa was the first patriarch, transmitted down to Bodhidharma, who was the twenty-eighth patriarch. Moving eastward to China, he clarified the Way of tracing things to their origin and returning to their end.)
