33.44

念善知識　是真實說　思惟此義
知眼無常　我善知識　能饒益者
是人已說　眼苦因緣　我常思念
一切無常　是師之教　深自憶持
我不畏苦　見法不住　常依王教
汝取我眼

"Remembering my good friend, / his was true speech; / contemplating this meaning, / I know the eyes are impermanent. / My good friend, / the one who can bring benefit, / that person has already spoken / of the causes and conditions of the suffering of the eyes. / I constantly contemplate / that all is impermanent; / this teaching of the master / I deeply hold in mind. / I do not fear suffering; / seeing that phenomena do not abide, / and always abiding by the king's command, / you may take my eyes."
