43.27

羅剎悔過。竟送薩薄至外國。大得珍寶。又送還家。大修功德。遂成道跡（出雜譬喻經與前多同意向小異故復兩存）。

Having repented of his fault, the rākṣasa escorted the caravan leader to the foreign land, where he obtained great treasures; he then escorted him back home. [The caravan leader] broadly cultivated merits and subsequently attained the stages of the Way. (From the Miscellaneous Avadāna Sūtra; because it mostly shares the same meaning as the previous account with only minor differences, both are preserved here.)
