前所可放鹿　今來還就死
恩流惠賤畜　得見辭二子
將行示水草　為說非常苦
萬沒無遺恨　念恩不敢負

"The deer you previously set free
Has now returned to face death.
Your kindness was bestowed upon a lowly beast,
Granting leave to say farewell to my two fawns.
I led them to show them water and grass,
And expounded for them the suffering of impermanence.
Facing death ten thousand times, I have no regret;
Mindful of your kindness, I dare not betray it."
