經律異相 1.98

1.98

The rampart cities of the lunar mansions and stars are the abodes of devas. They have crystal walls and palaces of the seven treasures, suspended in the sky and supported by great winds just like floating clouds. Moving along with the course of the sun, they are seen by human eyes. The large ones are seven hundred li, the medium ones five hundred li, and the small ones one hundred and twenty li. Their palaces, chambers, parks, and pools are like those of the Cāturmahārājakāyika heaven, and their lifespans are also the same. (From the Loutan jing, fascicle 6; also from the Dīrgha-āgama.)
