最勝大王聽　往昔游獵時
執箭或持刀　射殺野鼉已
剝皮煮欲熟　遣我取水添
食肉不留殘　而誑我言走

"Listen, supreme great king! / In the past when we were out hunting, / Holding arrows or brandishing a blade, / After shooting and killing the wild lizard, / Stripping its skin and boiling it nearly done, / You sent me to fetch water to add, / But ate the meat without leaving a scrap, / And lied to me that it ran away!"
