12.58
是千阿羅漢。聞是語已。上昇虛空高七多羅樹。皆言。咄哉。無常力大如是。我等眼見佛說法。今乃言我聞。便說偈言。
When those thousand arhats heard these words, they soared into the air to the height of seven tāla trees, and all said: "Alas! The power of impermanence is so great! We saw with our own eyes the Buddha preaching the Dharma, and now he merely says, 'Thus have I heard.'" Then they spoke a verse:
