由歎如來故。乃至舍利弗從他聞歎佛偈。亦得道果。故普曜經。安陸比丘以偈報舍利弗言。

Because of praising the Tathāgata, even Śāriputra, hearing a verse praising the Buddha from another, attained the fruition of the path. Thus, the Lalitavistara states that the bhikṣu Assaji replied to Śāriputra with a verse, saying:
