"If a person does not revere the Buddha
And the assembly of the Buddha's disciples,
In the present life people will scold and revile them,
And in the future life they will fall into evil destinies.
If a person knows to revere the Buddha
And the assembly of the Buddha's disciples,
In the present life people will praise them,
And in the future life they will be born in heaven."
