孔雀雖有色嚴身 不如鴻鶴能遠飛
白衣雖有富貴力 不如出家功德深
Though a peacock possesses colors that adorn its body, / it cannot fly far like the wild goose or crane;
Though a householder possesses the power of wealth and noble rank, / it is not like the deep merit of leaving home.
