皇帝遠振鴻風光華道樹。爰命使人屆斯瞻仰。此絕代之盛事。不朽之神功。如何寢默詠歌不傳金石者也。乃為銘曰。

The Emperor, broadcasting great influence from afar, brings glory to the Bodhi tree. Thereupon he ordered envoys to arrive here in reverent adoration. For such an unprecedented and grand event, such an imperishable and divine achievement, how could one remain silent, not conveying it in song or inscribing it on metal and stone? Thereupon he made an inscription, which reads:
