又越二國。西北至摩臘婆國。屬南印度。都城西北二十餘里。有大婆羅門邑。側大陷坑水流無滿。是昔大慢婆羅門謗大乘生陷入地處。又西北至阿吒釐國。屬南印度。此國出胡椒薰陸香。樹葉如棠。

Crossing two more countries, one reaches northwest to the country of Mālava, belonging to South India. Over twenty li northwest of the capital, there is a large Brahmin village. Beside it is a great sunken pit where water flows without filling it; this is the place where in the past the Great Proud Brahmin slandered the Mahāyāna and sank alive into the earth. Further northwest, one reaches the country of Aṭali, belonging to South India. This country produces black pepper and frankincense, whose tree leaves resemble crabapples.
