漢惠二年正月癸酉朔旦。兩龍現於蘭陵庭東。坐溫陵井中。京房易傳曰。有德遭害。厥妖龍見井中。行刑甚惡。黑龍從井出。

On the first day of the first month, guiyou, in the second year of Emperor Hui of the Han, two dragons appeared east of the courtyard in Lanling, resting within the well of Wenling. Jing Fang's Commentary on the Changes states: “When the virtuous suffer harm, the portent is that dragons appear within a well. When the execution of punishments is exceedingly wicked, a black dragon emerges from a well.”
