32.14

又處處經云。佛在世時。諸天鬼神龍人民皆到佛所。聽經數百千重。前後皆見佛面。所以者何。佛前世時言語無前後故。是故無不見佛面者。人臥皆隨佛所首。向佛尊故。

Furthermore, the Chuchu jing states: "When the Buddha was in the world, the devas, ghosts and spirits, nāgas, and human beings all went to the Buddha's place. Those listening to the sutras stood in hundreds of thousands of ranks; from front and rear, all saw the Buddha's face. Why is this? Because in his previous lifetimes, the Buddha's speech had no front or back [bias]. For this reason, there were none who did not behold the Buddha's face. When humans sleep, their heads invariably follow the Buddha's location, out of reverence for the Buddha's supremacy."
