如阿彌陀經云。佛語阿難。阿彌陀佛為菩薩時。常奉行是二十四願。珍寶愛重保持恭順。何等為二十四願。
As the Amitābha-sūtra says: The Buddha told Ānanda: "When Amitābha Buddha was a bodhisattva, he constantly practiced these twenty-four vows, treasuring them, prizing them, upholding them, and yielding reverently to them. What are the twenty-four vows?
