35.48

又我滅度後。一千四百年後。我此閻浮提及大千界。多有惡比丘不修禪戒。多造塔寺遍滿天下。雖非皮國多有布㲲繒綵。不以為衣。手樂殺生取其斑駁色皮以為上服。汝至彼惡世時。當以神力震動大千。令塔放光觸彼惡人。令生改悔不習惡法也。

Furthermore, one thousand four hundred years after my demise, in this Jambudvīpa of mine and the trichiliocosm, there will be many evil monks who will not cultivate meditation or precepts, but will build many stūpas and temples that fill all under heaven. Although it is not a country of skins, and they have an abundance of cotton cloth and coloured silks, they will not use them for robes; their hands will take pleasure in killing living beings and taking their mottled-colour skins to make their upper garments. When you arrive in that evil age, you should use supernatural power to shake the trichiliocosm and make the stūpa emit light to touch those evil people, causing them to bring forth repentance and no longer practice evil dharmas."
