Divine incense. The Shizhou ji states: 'In the third year of Tianhan, an envoy from a Western kingdom came to present miraculous glue, a coat of Jiguang fleece, and divine incense. The envoy said: "It cures fatal illnesses of those cut down prematurely." In the following year, the first of the new reign-era, a great disease arose in the city of Chang'an, with those dying numbering a hundred daily. The Emperor tested it by taking the Yuezhi divine incense and burning it within the city; those who had been dead for less than three days all revived. Its fragrant aroma did not dissipate for three days. The Emperor ordered it kept secretly in storage, but later, in a single morning, it was lost.'
