神期發筌寤 豁爾自靈通
The mysterious and clear emits a pure air; / The divine resonance penetrates the darkness of the deaf. / Ascending the terrace, one gives forth a spring intonation; / In elevated mood, one aspires to distant footsteps. / Mounting the void, it moves the numinous awakening; / At Mount Yu, deep thoughts are stirred again. / Transcribing the Brahmā chants of heavenly songs, / One hopes to spread the same sound of the Dharma. / Forgetting the heights, it does not descend, / Floating and fluttering within a few fathoms. / As the bhikṣu sings the melody of the pāṭha, / Humans and beasts are moved with palpitating hearts. / Because the profound phrases were chanted, / Geese were moved to soar through the void. / The spiritual expectancy awakes from the trap; / Clear and broad, it spontaneously attains divine penetration.
