36.68

異苑曰。司州衛士度母常誦經長齋。非道不行。曾出自齋堂。眾僧未食。俱望見雲中有一物下既落其前。乃是大鉢滿中香飯。舉坐肅然一時敬禮。母自分賦。齋人皆七日不飢。

The Yiyuan says: 'The mother of Guard Shi Du of Sizhou constantly recited sūtras and observed a perpetual fast, undertaking nothing that was not of the Path. Once she came out of the fasting hall while the monks had not yet eaten. They all looked up and saw an object descend from the clouds, and when it landed before her, it was a large bowl filled with fragrant rice. The entire assembly fell solemn and reverently bowed together. The mother distributed it herself, and none of those fasting were hungry for seven days.'
