零陵香。南越志曰。零陵香。土人謂為鷰草芸香。大戴禮夏小正月採芸為廟菜。禮記月令曰。仲冬之月芸始生（鄭玄曰芸香草也）說文曰。芸草似目蓿。淮南說。芸可以死而復生。

Lingling incense. The Nanyue zhi states: 'Lingling incense is called swallow grass and rue (yunxiang) by the locals.' The Dadai Liji's 'Xia xiaozheng' states: 'In the first month, gather rue for ancestral temple vegetables.' The Liji's 'Yueling' states: 'In the mid-winter month, rue first begins to sprout' (Zheng Xuan states: 'Rue is a fragrant herb'). The Shuowen states: 'The rue herb resembles alfalfa.' The Huainan[zi] explains: 'Rue can bring the dead back to life.'
