蘭香。周易繫辭曰。同心之言其臭如蘭（王廣曰蘭芳也）易通卦驗曰。冬至廣莫風至蘭始生。說文曰。蘭香草也。本草經曰。蘭草一名水香。久服益氣輕身不老。槐香出蒙楚之間。故稽合述槐香賦序。

Orchid fragrance (lanxiang). The 'Xici' of the Zhouyi states: 'Words from hearts in accord are fragrant as orchids' (Wang Guang states: 'Lan is fragrant'). The Yi tong gua yan states: 'At the winter solstice, when the Guangmo wind arrives, orchids first sprout.' The Shuowen states: 'Lan is a fragrant herb.' The Bencao jing states: 'The lan herb is also called shuixiang (water fragrance); taken over a long time, it benefits the qi, lightens the body, and prevents aging.' Huai incense: It comes from between Meng and Chu; hence Ji He composed the 'Preface to the Rhapsody on Huai Incense.'
