On Mount Lu in Jiangzhou, there are three stone bridges, tens of zhang long and less than a foot wide, looking down into a bottomless abyss. During the Xiankang reign-period of the Jin, Yu Liang served as governor of Jiangzhou. He climbed the mountain and crossed the bridges, where he saw an old man of extraordinary majesty, lofty and grand mansions, jade halls dazzling to the eyes, and a wondrous pagoda towering high, of which he could not tell what it was. After walking around it for a long time, [he realized] it was ultimately no human dwelling; he thereupon bowed in reverence, thanked [the host], and returned.
