38.96

有羅漢將往鐵圍山留小塔。其塔大有善神。且現二魚井中鰻𩼽魚護塔神也。其側有足跡石上者。云是前三佛蹈處也。昔周時。此土大有人住。故置此塔。

An arhat, about to depart for the Iron Encircling Mountains (Cakravaḷa), left behind a small stupa. That stupa possesses great good deities; furthermore, two fish appear within the well, and the eel-fish are deities protecting the stupa. At its side there are footprints on a stone, said to be where the three previous Buddhas stepped. In ancient times, during the Zhou dynasty, this land was inhabited by many people; therefore, this stupa was placed here."
