45.15

王聞是偈已身毛皆竪。於三寶所生信敬心。流淚而言如此老母宜加供養況稅其物。

When the king heard this gāthā, the hairs on his body stood on end. In the presence of the Three Jewels, he gave rise to faith and reverence, and with flowing tears he said, "Such an old mother should be furnished with increased offerings, let alone having her goods taxed!"
