又呵鵰阿那含經云。阿那含有八事不欲令人知。何等為八。一不求不欲令人知。二信不欲令人知。三自羞不欲令人知。四自慚不欲令人知。五精進不欲令人知。六自觀不欲令人知。七得禪不欲令人知。八黠慧不欲令人知。所以不欲令人知者。不欲煩擾於人故。

Furthermore, the *Hediao Anahan jing* states: “An anāgāmin has eight matters that he does not wish others to know. What are the eight? First, not seeking [gain], he does not wish others to know. Second, his faith he does not wish others to know. Third, his sense of personal shame he does not wish others to know. Fourth, his shame before others he does not wish others to know. Fifth, his vigor he does not wish others to know. Sixth, his inner contemplation he does not wish others to know. Seventh, his attainment of dhyāna he does not wish others to know. Eighth, his wisdom he does not wish others to know. Why does he not wish others to know them? It is because he does not wish to vex or trouble others.”
