我子慈孝順　天上人中無
王雖見憐愍　何得如我子
王當見憐愍　願將示子處
得在兒左右　併命意分足

"Our son was compassionate, filial, and obedient, / unequalled in Heaven or among mortals. / Although the king shows pity and kindness, / how could you compare to our son? / If the king would show pity and kindness, / we pray you lead us and show us where our son is, / so that we may be at our boy's side / and end our lives together; our wish will then be satisfied."
