於是王將父母向兒所。椎胸懊惱號咷而言。我子慈仁孝順無比天神山神樹神河池諸神。皆向說偈言。
Thereupon the king led the parents to where the boy was. Beating their chests in distress, they wailed aloud and said: 'Our son was incomparably compassionate, benevolent, filial, and obedient!' The heavenly spirits, mountain spirits, tree spirits, and river-and-pond spirits all spoke a verse toward them:
