51.14

若人親近惡知識　現世不得好名聞
必以惡友相親近　當來亦墮阿鼻獄
若人親近善知識　隨順彼等所業行
雖不現證世間利　未來當得盡苦因

"If a person draws close to bad friends, / In the present life he will not obtain good renown; / Bound to associate with evil companions, / In the future he will also fall into the Avīci Hell. / If a person draws close to good friends, / Following along with their deeds and practices, / Although he may not realize worldly benefits in the present, / In the future he will certainly exhaust the causes of suffering."
