汝虬計校雖能寬　而心智慮甚陿劣
汝但審諦自思忖　一切眾類誰無心
彼林雖復子豐饒　及諸菴羅等妙果
我今意實不在彼　寧自食此優曇婆

"Though your schemes, water-dragon, may be broad, / the wisdom and thoughts of your mind are utterly petty and base. / Just carefully and truly consider for yourself: / among all kinds of living beings, who is without a heart? / Though that forest may be rich in fruits, / as well as amra and other marvelous fruits, / my mind truly has no interest in them; / I would rather feed myself on this udumbara."
