54.41

爾時佛告諸比丘言。當知彼時大獼猴者我身是也。彼虬者魔波旬是。彼時猶尚誑惑於我而不能得。今復欲將世間五欲之事而來誘我。豈能動我此之坐處。

Then the Buddha told the monks: "You should know that the large monkey of that time was my own body. That water-dragon was Māra Pāpīyān. At that time he still wished to deceive and delude me but could not succeed; now he again wishes to use the five desires of the world to come and entice me—how could he move me from this seat of mine?"
