佛告諸比丘。釋提桓因於三十三天為自在王。常行忍辱讚歎於忍。汝等比丘。正信非家出家學道。亦應如是行忍讚歎於忍。應當勤學。

The Buddha addressed the monks: "Śakra Devānām Indra is the sovereign king of the Thirty-three Gods, and he always practices forbearance and praises forbearance. You monks, who with right faith have left non-home life to go forth from the household life to learn the Way, should likewise practice forbearance and praise forbearance; you ought to study this diligently."
