佛告阿難。若行此法。汝取婆囉彌支多翅（白呵梨勒）畢鉢梨三物。合清晨呪滿一千遍。以蘇蜜和服。即得一聞受持。

The Buddha told Ānanda: 'If you perform this method, you should take the three substances of paramicitakī (white harītakī) and pippalī, combine them in the early morning, empower them with the dhāraṇī a full thousand times, and ingest them mixed with ghee and honey; you will immediately be able to retain upon hearing once.'
