64.7

如涅槃經云。有十六惡律儀。何等十六。一者為利餧養羔羊。肥已轉賣。二者為利買已屠殺。三者為利餧養猪豚。肥已轉賣。四者為利買已屠殺。五者為利餧養牛犢。肥已轉賣。六者為利買已屠殺。七者為利養鷄令肥。肥已轉賣。八者為利買已屠殺。九者釣魚。十者獵師。十一者劫奪。十二者魁膾。十三者網捕飛鳥。十四者兩舌。十五者獄卒。十六者呪龍。能為眾生永斷如是十六惡業。是名修戒。

As the Nirvāṇa Sūtra states: There are sixteen kinds of evil discipline. What are the sixteen? First, raising sheep and lambs for profit, selling them once fattened. Second, buying them for profit to butcher and slaughter. Third, raising swine and pigs for profit, selling them once fattened. Fourth, buying them for profit to butcher and slaughter. Fifth, raising cattle and calves for profit, selling them once fattened. Sixth, buying them for profit to butcher and slaughter. Seventh, keeping chickens to make them fat for profit, selling them once fattened. Eighth, buying them for profit to butcher and slaughter. Ninth, angling for fish. Tenth, being a hunter. Eleventh, robbery and pillage. Twelfth, being an executioner. Thirteenth, netting flying birds. Fourteenth, double-tongued speech. Fifteenth, being a jailer. Sixteenth, charming serpents. Being able to forever cut off these sixteen evil karmas for the sake of sentient beings is called cultivating the precepts.
