問曰。云何遠離惡口者。答曰。惡口有七種。一依不善意。二起惱亂心。三依亂心。四言說他。五作。六不作相。七無作相（此七亦易不煩釋之）。

Question: How does one stay far away from harsh speech? Answer: Harsh speech has seven aspects: first, relying on an unwholesome intention; second, giving rise to a mind to distress; third, relying on a confused mind; fourth, speaking to others; fifth, action; sixth, the characteristic of inaction; seventh, the characteristic of non-action (these seven are also easy and need not be elaborated).
